Each year students who are part of the Canterbury University Emerging Leaders Development Program (ELDP) have the opportunity to evaluate options in their personal development activities. In February 2019 the options were covered by having an Amazing Race. The Rotary Associates Station in the race gave teams the challenge of gift wrapping 4 objects which portrayed the Rotary message of "Rotary Helps the Community through Projects"

In the middle of 2019 there was a working bee at Hanmer Springs Forest Springs Camp. Most of the work was doing by over 60 students from the University of Canterbury Emerging Leaders team.
One of the activities was clearing the Reid Kitchen building (of everything!) plus scraping and sanding the walls, windows and fittings.
These photos show you the completed work.
The photos were taken through the windows so are a bit "dodgy" but give yu the idea of the amazing end result.
