SHELTER BAGS
A few weeks ago we had the link for donations in the newsletter. Catherine Rietveld also suggested that if anyone doesn’t require the extra winter subsidy in their electricity account they might like to consider making a donation towards the Shelter Bags.

To date our club has bought eight and we have had donations for another two.
Donations can be made directly into the ROZops Ltd Account where 100% of your donation will go towards the Shelter Bags.
The goal is to have enough donations to buy another 1,200 by the beginning of December so an order can be made.

NON ROTARY EVENTS

Collecting for Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson’s
As you know I have multiple sclerosis, so I am passionate about helping the cause by coordinating the site at New World Northwood, collecting for their annual street appeal. It is possible for you to offer time collecting on either Friday 4th or Saturday 5th September to allow those that work the opportunity to also help. Shifts are for 2 hours between 9am-5pm.
Please let me know if you can help.
The Secretary is also sending out a roster.
MS and Parkinson’s would be most grateful.
Thank you.

Days for Girls is a volunteer project that makes reusable menstrual health kits, helping girls and women stay at school, work, and daily activities with dignity during their period.

The kits are distributed throughout New Zealand, the Pacific, and around the world, together with menstrual and sexual health education. Local women are also trained to make the kits and deliver the education programme in their own communities.

If you'd like to get involved, our next working bees is
Saturday 24 October, 1-5pm
