MODERN ROTARY CLUBS ARE MORE FLEXIBLE THAN IN THE PAST.

YOU CAN HELP THE COMMUNITY WHENEVER  YOU CAN FIND THE TIME TO DO IT.

Rotary – what’s in it for you?

As a member of Rotary Papanui you will:

  • Make a difference in the lives of others
  • Meet and work with people of action
  • Give practical help and put energy into the community
  • Make connections and learn new skills
  • Build lifelong friendships and have fun

Working together to help others is at the heart of Rotary Papanui.

  • We raise funds for community projects – e.g. Christchurch Charity Hospital, St John, Hanmer Springs Forest Camp Trust, Children in Need Trust and youth focussed groups
    within the Papanui area .
  • We look for opportunities to make positive changes in the community – e.g. Rotary Community Breast Milk Bank Charitable Trust, tree planting in Papanui Bush, preparing meals at Ronald McDonald House
  • We help those whose lives have been affected by natural disasters – e.g. by raising funds to buy Emergency Response Kits to have on hand for the Pacific Islands
  • We help young people reach their potential through Rotary Youth Exchange (RYE) programmes and Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA)

“Coming together is a BEGINNING. Staying together is PROGRESS. Working together is SUCCESS”

Get involved

But simply joining Rotary isn’t going to change lives or make connections in the community.

That happens only when you get involved. Get involved in ways that align with your passions, shape your own experience and decide how to get the most out of your membership.

When you get involved it’s not just your club and community that benefit. You benefit too. You will feel the shared sense of purpose that comes from working together to better your community.
